Living in an apartment is much different than the residence halls, but SLI strives to maintain the necessary measures to make students and their parents feel comfortable while living with us. Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind:
Students must have at least 30 credits by lease start date to live in SLI properties. A waiver from the Millersville University Housing & Residential Programs Office is required.
All applicants must have the required forms of approval as determined by Millersville University Housing & Residential Program Office. After receiving approval, applicants will receive an email from SLI to their MU email account. Applicants will then need to create a tenant web access account, which will be used to (1) digitally sign the rental application and agreement and (2) pay the required $500 deposit to secure execution of the lease offered. When a lease is ready the applicant will receive notification that a new document is ready for their signature on tenant web access.
Leases are for 1 full year.
Lease can begin anytime from May through August. (with the exception of
the few that start in January)
1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom units.
Yes. You can use your Financial Aid to pay rent.
Rent is due thh 1st of each month. There is a 5 day grace period and late fees are applied on the 6th of each month for rent not paid in full.
Yes. Student Lodging does accept advanced payments.
Yes. Security Deposit are refundable 30 days after lease end date.
Rent includes water, trash and sewer. Tenant is responsible for Electric and gas.
Cable / internet is optional.
Yes. Student Lodging office will be able to provide you with a list of available openings.
None of our units are furnished.
Yes. All apartments are within a 10 minute walking distance to MU campus.
Yes. There is an MU Shuttle that takes tenants to campus. There is also an MU Express bus which will transport tenants throughout the community.
Yes. All 4 and 5 bedrooms have a washer/dryer in the apartments. All other units have laundry facilities onsite.
Yes. Each tenant is provided with 1 sticker at no cost.
Yes. Security cameras and emergency phones are placed throughout the complex.
