Healthy Living Apartments

These apartments were designed based on former MU student’s ideas. Tenants must sign a wellness agreement to be eligible to live in these apartments. Educational programs for tenants are provided by the MU Wellness Center and the SMC Fitness Center. Participation in the educational programs is voluntary.

Location

The Healthy Living apartments are located adjacent to Millersville University within easy walking distance of the classrooms.

Comfortable Living

Healthy Living apartments have 4 or 5 bedrooms and are able to house one student per bedroom. Each unit has 2 full bathrooms, an eat in kitchen, and a spacious common living quarters.

Safety Conscious

The Board of Directors and management of Student Lodging, Inc. stress the importance of resident’s safety. Security cameras are spread throughout the complex. Each apartment is equipped with a sprinkler system, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher. The staff checks the equipment on a monthly basis to ensure that is working properly.Apartments are well lit and there is someone on duty 24 hours a day.

Renting Information

Rules
Please read the rules and regulations, and wellness agreement for Healthy Living Apartments.

Rent Due
The rent is due on the first of each month. A late fee of $35 is added on the sixth, unless the fifth is over the weekend. If the fifth falls on a weekend, then late fees are added the following Tuesday.

Parking Stickers
Each tenant is entitled to one parking sticker. The stickers are color coded to each area, as in Healthy Living, or Brookwood Court Apartments. Parking stickers are given out during the first two weeks of the fall semester, and available at any other time needed. You must bring your car and the state registration paperwork to the office in order to be issued a parking sticker. There are ample parking spaces in each area; however, you are not guaranteed to have a space in front of or next to your apartment.

Student MAs
MAs are students who help management monitor the apartments.

  • Perform a safety check in each apartment on a monthly basis
  • Complete security tour to ensure the safety of all tenants
  • Communicate with tenants on a regular basis
